Ever since we started making our yarns, we've always done it in the basement of our house. Unfortunately, as cellars tend to be, it is cramped and dark there. Not a really nice ambience so to be creative.
But that has now changed: because we are moving to our creative workshop!
Every beginning is difficult: the workshop.
Actually it is a real workshop, with workbenches, saws, drills and everything you would expect in a hobby workshop.
So we had to do a lot of tidying up, putting away, cleaning etc. but the really worst thing was all the dust and sawdust that were flying around everywhere. So we started by setting up the warehouse so that all our cones have space.
After a long work: it's just wonderful.
It's definitely a lot more pleasant to work there than in a basement. The workshop is flooded with light, rustic and wonderfully bright. You can also see at a glance what wonderful colors we actually have. This is great for getting inspiration and collecting ideas for new yarns, such as our pastel yarns.
Of course we're far from finished with our workshop, but we can already work there and of course have a lot of fun making the wonderful gradient yarns for you here.
